Platero and I

This series features illustrations for the prose poem 'Platero and I' by Juan Ramón Jiménez, the Spanish poet awarded the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1956. They depict the poet's Andalusian village, intertwined with his affection for the little donkey, Platero, and capture the orderly progression of life, death, and the changing seasons, as portrayed in Jiménez's work.

This illustration series won the Silver Medal in The 19th CACC Golden Dragon Award for Illustration, Finalist in The FAB Prize, and the Excellence Prize in the China Illustration Annual Competition 2022. It was also featured in the spring group exhibition at Gallerie V in Cambridge in 2023.
